Coastline

By Francis H Powell

Meandering like a snake

or a lizard scampering on a rock

an endless panorama opens out

which mesmerises the eye

a beauty to behold

There is the smell of the pines

and a track that twists and turns

Ships float idly by

as sea gulls call

I catch the sight of a dolphin

playing amongst the waves

All of this to absorb
