Where Did I Put It?

You search the recesses of your being,

Where is that store of courage?

We’re scraping the bottom,

Need some replenishment.

A dab of resilience, a squirt of bravado,

Some well-meaning advice from you to self.

The rainy day fount has to be drawn upon,

To sail forth with valor,

Forge with fortitude,

To continue sparring with gallantry,

This life with no guarantee.
