Unbound

By Ron Bearwald

Can I love someone I am not with?
The sun line draws across my garden this morning.
It is a threshold.
In shadows still the grass glistens with dew.
The swelling warm light
Hails a luminous hue.
From the edge
I have crossed from loneliness
To solitude
Where I find those I love.
The answer is yes.
